From humble beginnings to Copenhagen’s largest hotel chain – Arp-Hansen Hotel Group has been growing in size and ambition since 1960.
What started as one hotel has grown to eight hotels, one luxury hostel and a budget hotel concept encompassing four hotels in Copenhagen and Aarhus – covering approximately 22% of the room capacity in Copenhagen and offering over 100 meeting and event spaces, including one conference hall.
Individuality is essential to the company ethos – both when it comes to our hotels and employees. Each of Arp-Hansen Hotel Group’s hotels has its own unique expression and history, much like our guests and co-workers. It is the combination of preservation and innovation that motivates us in everything we do and our track record speaks for itself.
Arp-Hansen Hotel Group has a total of 4,350 rooms in Copenhagen and Aarhus divided between our privately-owned and centrally located hotels; Phoenix Copenhagen, 71 Nyhavn Hotel, Copenhagen Strand, Imperial Hotel, The Square, Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center, Copenhagen Island, Gentofte Hotel, Steel House Copenhagen, Next House Copenhagen and the four Wakeup Copenhagen hotels at Bernstorffsgade, Borgergade, Carsten Niebuhrs Gade and M.P. Bruuns Gade.
